Texas guitar-slinger A. Wright has been hitting it hard over the last 10 years. Since the age of 16, he's racked up numerous accolades. He's opened up for notable artists such as Steve Wariner, Johnny Lee, Carolyn Wonderland, Two Tons of Steel, Joe King Carrasco, Dale Watson, Bri Bagwell, Ben and Noel Haggard, Gary P. Nunn and Ray Wylie Hubbard as well as playing along side Texas Blues legends Alan Haynes and Jackie Newhouse (ex-Stevie Ray Vaughan Bassist). He's played some of the most renowned stages across Texas such as Gruene Hall, Arneson River Theater, Antone's, Luckenbach, Poodie's, Sam's Burger Joint, Brauntex Theater, Sunset Station, Various Clubs on 6th St. in Austin and much more. Before changing his musical direction, A. was a two-time contestant in the San Antonio Bud Light Riverfest Battle of the Bands (runner up in 2015 and winner in 2016) competed in the International Blues Challenge twice (Memphis, TN) (Band category in 2017 and Solo/Duo Semifinalist in 2020) represeting the San Angelo Blues Society.
A's style consists of a country rock/southern rock sound that’s rooted in blues (“Southern Fried Country Rock” as he calls it). You can hear these sounds on his 2018 release "The Way That I Am" as well as his newest release "Acoustic" released in 2021. His newest releases, singles “Daphne Blue” and “Pancho’s Guitar” are available for sale and streaming as of January 2023.
